Relief during oral implantology

Use of the “Biopsy Punch“ made by Stiefel Laboratorium Ltd. brings relief to oral implantology. These skin punches, produced with various implant-related diameters, allow rapid and low-blood clearance of the actual insert site. The desired implant position is marked by penetrating the alveolar mucosa with a sterile probe. The bleeding-point serves to help centre the skin punch, which is then inserted, rotating, into the mucous membrane. By centring the pilot bore with care, regular and pressure-free positioning of the marginal mucosa to the neck of the implant is achieved after inserting the implant. The wound edges, having been kept to the minimum in this way, rapidly heal: expensive after-care and suture removal is not required; the soft tissue is spared as far as possible. The duration of the operation can be reduced by around a third.

1. The handle of the punch may be bent for application at the rear of the mouth. Snipping off with pinchers is also possible.

2. The punch penetrates into the mucosa with a rotating movement.

3. A precise wound edge above the implant is achieved.

4. The wound heals without problem after inserting the abutment, components or secondary parts thereof.
