Wide shave biopsy

Shave biopsy of a melanoma, including the portion of the tumour that is farthest advanced, and an edge of a tumour. Since the histopathological criteria that are crucial for diagnosis are present in the epithelium, a diagnosis is generally possible with such a wide shave biopsy.
